Such a cool store to visit. Lots of really nice, pretty clothes and such. My fav was browsing through the barrels of candy I loved as a child, and the toys from yesteryear. Brought back lots of memories. There were so many cool things to look at, including unique dishes and kitchen utensils, jars of homemade delights...just a wonderland of really unique and cool items. I could have spent hours just looking. They also have Amish made rocking chairs (pictures below)....and oh my word....talk about comfortable, and such smooth rocking, not rickety or bumpy at all! If you haven't visited, you're going to definitely want to experience this! I will be back, because it is just fun to walk through. 😁

Mast General Store is the best. This place is huge with a plethora of items from candy, dishes, clothing, hba, candles, etc etc etc. Visiting the area and needed to replenish my Blenheim hot ginger ale. Mast General Store had it in stock. Bought 2 cases. Didn't stop to shop anything else but will make it a delibrate destination for the future. The candy barrels are awesome. Make sure you check out the downstairs. 👍 Easy to find

The great place to go for those special gifts. The second you walk in you see the vast selection and you are greeted by friendly and happy people. It really sets the tone and starts you off on an adventure. The top brands, latest gadgets and specialty items under one roof covering two floors. We found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful.

I have to go here every time I'm in Columbia. They have just about everything you can think of, and a lot you've never seen before. Huge candy area. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, kitchen things you didn't know you needed, books, toys. It's amazing!

One of the coolest store I’ve ever been in —I just loved it. Unbelievable variety of high quality outdoor gear, all top brands and fantastic selection. Amazing look and feel to the store, which is something like 130 years old. Still intact squeaky floors and banisters, old memorabilia everywhere —very cool vibe. Extremely friendly, helpful and polite staff. Can’t wait to go back.

These shops are cute and pretty, they are like souvenirs for every state. On my way to collect as many key chains from a bunch of states when possible, always a fun one for kids too. Hey, they even got the Christmas spirit already rolling out!

Been here so many times. Its a very cozy and welcoming. The have a lot of outdoor gear and good clothes. They have home decor and lots of candy and snack. I usually stop here everytime I come through columbia

I love Mast General Store, it’s definitely the jewel of Downtown Columbia! The staff is so friendly and the store is so unique, I drop in every time I get the chance. They also have a lot of cool items you can’t really find anywhere else. Five stars for sure!

Loved loved this place! Super helpful staff downstairs with the hiking equipment. Got this amazing bag for less then I found it anywhere else! Can't wait to use it on our next adventure! Upstairs so many many amazing and cute things. Was too memorized to remember to take pictures but not enough to stop myself from buying too much, lol. We'll definitely be back

What a great business! I do not live nearby, however, I did place an order with this store online. I could not be more pleased nor impressed by the experience I had with them. My order was placed late on a Saturday night, shipped on Monday and arrived on Tuesday. The item arrived in great condition, with a very nice thank you card which included information on the order and a store logo sticker. It was a very nice, greatly appreciated addition. You just don't receive service like this from any business nowadays. I think Mast General Store and it's employees in Columbia, SC are great! I will definitely be shopping with you again and maybe someday soon will be able to visit the store itself. Thank you for a great experience!
